What a great game : Total Overdose.

Adrenalin and action for desperado hero.

If the game freezes when you attempt to drive trucks in harbour challenge, this is certainly because you stopped video sequence before it has stopped automatically.
So, when you find the first truck (whatever you choose, doesn't matter), be sure to let the video sequence end correctly and you'll be redirected to gameplay inside the truck, which you can drive normally.

Like Data Execution Prevention, Windows Vista Indexing Service is quite annoying !

It's made in order to accelerate file search by indexing each file and folder, but also each useful information you cand find in file properties and also in file content (for example, within a Word document).

Quite nice !
But If You Got a lot of drives and not a powerful computer, it may sometimes take long long time when you try to browse your disks or copy/cut files from one disk to another ...

1. For those who want to keep this service running but want to fix excessive slowness, do the following :

- Start
- Run
- Type "services.msc"
- Find "Windows Search"
- Right-click, Properties
- Start Mode : choose Deactivated (2. My advice : stop here, you're done - just restart computer)

Then delete all files in these directories :
- C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows
- C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Temp

Then :
- Start
- Run
- Type "services.msc"
- Find "Windows Search"
- Right-click, Properties
- Start Mode : choose Automatic again

Restart computer, windows will rebuild search index which often gets corrupted

When playing the game, the screen is flashing or blinking regularly : walls, objetcs, roofs, ... seem to disappear 1 or 2 seconds and then appear again. The more often when you move the mouse slowly.

The following works with ATI graphic cards : it's tested because I got the same problem and tried a lot to fix it !

First of all, install latest release Catalyst 9.5 drivers
Link : http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx
Then configure 3d settings in Catalyst control panel this way (red settings are the most important) :
"Unable to open the Boot Configuration Data Store. Access denied"
To bypass this problem, you got to disable UAC (User Account Control) which is part of Vista DEP (Data Execution Prevention).
But be careful, I recommend to reactivate it after your changes in BCD !
Start - Control Panel - Security Center
Deactivate User Account Control and restart computer
